Thoughts and Inner Space
Through the practice of meditation and hypnosis we get a better sense of our thoughts. We also learn that thoughts have different qualities, different tones. Some thoughts take is into the past and others into the future. In between the thoughts is the Gap, our inner space.
In the Gap all becomes clear and life transforms in magically unexpected ways. The path forward is clearer in the Gap. If you think of your thoughts as things, that need a space in-between them to differentiate them from each other. They require a pause between them to give life to what they represent separately. This is the gap, and it’s a space that allows us to build, create, imagine and manifest all that we’re capable of creating with those thoughts. This is the space where we can connect to ourselves at a deeper level. It allows us to recognize that we are not our thoughts.
Our minds are a wonderful tool of discovery, analysis and expression but it is not the essence of your being. Its content constantly changes as it deals with new ideas, evaluates new knowledge and experience and makes new deductions. The mind is an intellectual part of the self but it is not the Self.
Meditation takes us on an inner journey into the gap between our thoughts, where all the advantages of a more peaceful, stress-free life are available, but these are merely side benefits. The main reason for meditation is to get into the gap between our thoughts and make conscious contact with the creative force of life itself. This space is yours; it is within each individual on the planet. As you practice you will find that you can connect with your inner space whenever and wherever you are. You can find peace, if only for a moment, you can choose the serenity of your inner space.
“What is at work during inner silence is another faculty that man has, the faculty that makes him a magical being..”
